3K a year The Metrologist functions independently and productively as a Facilities Metrologist and is actively engaged within the Facilities Engineering department to support the flow of calibrations in a dynamic team environment.
Needs to be able to perform and properly document calibrations of a wide variety of instruments to include but is not limited to temperature, RPM, weight, PH, DO, flow, pressure, etc.
All instruments/ equipment is for use in a highly regulated Biopharmaceutical environment.

The role:
Work closely with facilities mechanics to minimize equipment down times, expedite preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
Work closely with manufacturing and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot and repair equipment, instrumentation, and controls issues.
Work with subcontractors as needed on equipment calibrations/preventive maintenance and repairs.
Assist in maintaining calibration/ PM program in Blue Mountain.
This includes generating PM SOPs/records, establishing Cal/PM frequencies, specifying spare parts and recommending/maintaining inventory levels.
Work with equipment vendors and purchasing department to quote/purchase/procure equipment parts and instrumentation.
Initiate/complete various types of GMP documentation such as change control, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), documentation revision.
Operate Building Automation System (BAS) and equipment monitoring/alarm reporting systems for the facility.
Accurately maintain/complete all equipment logbooks and maintenance records within the CMMS.
The candidate:
